There's nothing worse to me than a visit to the dentist. Especially when I know that I will be under the drill. I have about 40 minutes until I get pumped full of Novocaine and feel that awful drilling on my back tooth. I am freaking out! I know I'm getting myself worked up for nothing - it's a relatively innocuous procedure. I just can't stand it. I know most of you are on the same page with me.
So, I'll talk about something different to get my mind off of it. Last night was the first Dr. Sketchy's session here in Pittsburgh. I am so glad someone put this together! It was an amazing time, with amazing people. The models were great and I even won an award for my final drawing. I have been to many life drawing sessions, but, this was completely different than anything I've been involved in. It was a lot more relaxed atmosphere, which I think positively affected my work. The beer helped too. And the great music provided by DJ Zombo was a perfect background to the quarky nature of the entire session.
